Title: MY Babys Poorly
Post by: MrDan on 14 February 2006, 09:11

Took the Golf out for a spin last night (8V GTI) and it started behaving very wierd and spluttering between 2k - 3k revs in any gear, after 3 its seems to "clear its throat" and drive normally.

Just really juddery between these points, mabye over fueling? Can anyone give me any leads on where to start troubleshooting?

Got a bit dangerous pulling out at roundabouts!!

Try putting some fuel cleaner in the tank, then give a good long drive up the motorway...

I would go for the Relays mate. Sounds very similar to probs I had.

After a run take out Fuel Injection and ECU relays if they warm then its not that. If cold then change em.
