Title: scrabble
Post by: weedwhacker on 12 February 2006, 19:29
as some of you will know ive just got my mk1 cabby on the road,
just a quick one with regards to the handling.
in the wet is it supposed to feel like an excited dog on a laminate floor.

been told thats just the way they are but im not so sure.

anything over a slight kink in the road at over 40 and i gets understear by the truck load. then correct it and the arse nearly steps out..

just wondering thats all.
i have a strut brace on order wonder if that will help

I can't say as I've experienced any of those in mine and I dont have any strut braces or ARBs, although it's been lowered slightly.

tyres all good, i must say i do feel a clunking, and at slow speed it feels like its rising up at the front, i thought shocks myself but its just passed the mot.
does the top mounts ever work loose or anything like that.

i was gonna change the shocks and springs anyway at some point but kinda scary in th ewet at the min.
