Title: Buy or Hire, any idea??

Hi all,

Have been toying with getting an R32 or GTI Mk5.  Really really would like the R32 but not convinced my finances would cope.   :cry:

Was going to PCP it but then I though about hiring it?  That way I could get one for a year/18mths and if it was crippling me hand it back. :smiley:

Has anyone any experience of Private Contract Hire and any good/bad companies??

it depends what you want if you do contract hire its dead money and the car will never be yours plus it will probably cost about £400 a month for the contract

Unless your gonna do the hire thing direct from manufacturer, doesnt seem worth it to me.

yo, i used to work for a main dealer, an trust me, all hire contracts are bollox, id go with a pcp if you cant afford outright finance, although a 60 month hire purchase is also a good thing, keep the payments down and you also have the halves and thirds as layed out in the consumer credit act
