well dude i would think that first off you need a good body shop who will weld in a plate over the old door handle hole and then smooth it all off, next you will need to have an alarm system which works the doors next i would think just set up the solenoids in side the doors so when you blip the alarm switch it opperates the doors, or you will have to put a button some where? i would go to a good body shop, they would be able to do the lot for you! dont let your batter run down though! lol

cheers for reply - would prefer to do the job meself to keep costs down. so some specific questions:
are there kits redily available - are they model specific?
once installed - how does the door open from the inside - using the origial inner handle or is this deleted and you have to wire in a push button? will i have to wire one in to the dash so i can let people in and one to the rear so they can let themselves out?
are there remote central locking key fobs that have enough button in to pop the rear door/boot as well as the locks?
cheers for any replies

you can open mk2 bonnets with a long screwdriver and then charge the battery. I had to do this on mine when my battery went flat and had no locks.

wire in thinnish gauge wiring to the battery connectors, let them go down to somewhere relatively easy to get to, and if your battery runs out, you could connect another one up to get the alarm/locking to work so you can change the battery
