:cry:Thinking seriously about selling my runout oak green 5 door 'cos me and the mrs split. i need to economise 'cos i'm going to buy me a house!! 1.8 HAS to go...but what do you think i should replace her with? 1.3 mk2, polo, or a caddy. what do you guys reckon?????

Screw the house....
Buy a mk1 and a caravan :D

I did the opposite, I downsized when I got a girl. And I'm now running a Mk4 Polo 1.4, waiting for the Mrs to pass her test then i'll get me a GTI again.
Fancy swapsies? ;)

Polos are nice to drive :) My instructors car is a mk5 (i think? the latest one?) and thats quite nice :) got enough bite to get away from lights but nothing compared to the golfs.

live in a camper

Not quite getting why the 1.8 has to go, don't drive it like a fool and you will get a good return on it.
Something else would more likely be something like an old polo gt (1300 than can keep up with 1.8 golfs) or a small ( and quite honestly stupidly underpowered) mk3 like a ryder.

Slammed Mk2 Polo !

slick effect. the 1.8 has to go 'cos i'll be on the bones of my ass trying to afford running the house by myself. smaller engine = cheaper tax, insurance, petrol costs. believe me-i am f@#king gutted!! ( about the car, not the break up!)

yeah, i do quite like the breadvans, and that ebay one looks really tidy and quite nice, actually...
