Hi all
I bought a set of these bonnet lifters from e-bay:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/VW-Golf-Jetta-MK3-3-III-Bonnet-Hood-Lifters-Hing-Struts_W0QQitemZ8036243462QQcategoryZ23012QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
More because I am lazy than anything else and used to the gas strut on my Mk 4!! However, the instructions are in German and I have no idea how to fit them - just wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction?
Cheers

Think they replace one of the bolts for the wing. Not sure where they bolt on the bonnet. I've got some on the golf I've just bought so I'll take a photo tonight - that might help...

That would be quality if you could do that mate ...
Nice one

et voila... looks straight foward enough:
in the wing:

Cheers for that mate - how exactly do they work? Is it some form of pivot scheme? I presume once the bonnet is open they sort of 'lock' into place? :undecided:

the joints swivel yeah... will work just like the boot, or the bonnet struts on your mk4

Oooh, im liking them  Think im gonna have to purchase me some.
