Title: Mk4 R32 vs Mk5 R32

Providing my mind hasnt been playing tricks Ive started to notice the new mk5 R32's on the road. Im not fussed on the new mk5's for looks I much prefer the mk4's. Just wondering which model people prefer. Myself I prefer mk4. On the downside its bulkier than the mk 5 but for looks its awesome. Wish I could afford one, Im gonna cheat, as soon as I get my Tdi im gonna mod into an r32 replica, on the minus side im gonna get loads knobs challenging me for races which ill accept and ill prob loose, on the plus side ill be getting 45-50mpg!!

I have always been a big fan of the Mark 4 R32, in that pearl blue aswell  :drool: but after seeing the new one on top gear i am starting to like the mark 5 aswell, its tough to be honest! Given the choice but probable go for a mark 4, but the mark 5 sounds awesome!

mk4 without a doubt, although the mk5 has more power and is probably a better drive it just doesnt look special enough imo

yes car credit you can get a car off them for 8k and pay back 20k bargain  :laugh: :laugh:

Test drive a MK V :cool:, just do it, its loads better than the mk IV exept...................












In looks, the MK IV has to win hands down there :cool:

Mk5 looks like a freakin corsa and has lost the essence of golfs! so no I wouldn't be going for that! And mk4 well nice looking car but still rather have me mk2 valver! seen as I recently bet one too :)  just not keen on the euro bubble looks VW are going for recently.

Im not a huge fan of the mk5. Like the gti better looks wise. I think with more alloy/chrome touches like door handels, trim etc to match that grill it might look a little better but i still prefer the mk4. I love the purpley colour they come in, goin to have the bottom half of my camper done in that when i get it, eventually!

I personally think that the mk4 looks sportier, but the mk5 looks more refined and as I'm such an old classy guy, I'll have to say mk5 for me.  :tongue:
