Title: splitters, back to vr6 - FITTED AND LOOKIN GOOD! (pics on p4)
Post by: golfpro on 01 February 2006, 14:10: Right Iv had this splitter on my car since e38 and iv always been undecided on it. I dont dislike it but i really dont like it enough to spend Ãƒâ€šÃ‚£150 to get it smoothed and sprayed into the bumper as id like. So I have been seriously thinkin about goin back to a standard vr6 splitter. I had one on before I changed the lights, indicators and fogs, and now black and silver plates too, and it looked like this...

I see u put ur forum name on a german plate, is that real or have u photoshopped it on, i was thinking about doing that myself, putting it in the back window for when i go to shows etc, in case any forum people pass by!

p.s i have only just realised what your forum name means with u being an actual golfer and all!

I got a Vr6 one atm and think its boring now! So if ya decide to go with the flow then I might have that splitter off ya! :wink:

And I've got a standard GTI one Len.... I think a chain reaction thing might be on order if it's not in bad nick ;)

Its still in almost new condition and although i live in guernsey postage shouldnt be any more than england as its still in the UK!

the last vr splitter i had broke while running my brother around last summer. Hes always late and to avoid a head on with the worlds fasest postman i had to go up the kerb, breakin my bloody splitter! :angry: Should have the new one on by monday so il hopefully know then and wil get it to u as soon as i do.

So excited, hopefully this'l be what restores a little more love for the old girl and be exactly what i need to get my modifying/perfecting shoes back on!

Got to get some new headlight bulbs now and try to fit them. Then the interior light behind the dials needs doing too and its back to the thinking board! Back on ebay it is then!

Just remembered i left my car at a mates hotel last night so iv got to collect it first. Might just have to go via the shops and see if i can get some bulbs while im at it.

Main problem was coz of how the last splitter broke, the clips on the bottom had broken too and I had to screw it in place, hence where i parked to get underneath it. Well that and the fact it was gettin darker and colder by the minute!

But anyway, heres a before and during shot. But coz of how dark it got the after shots are way too dark to make out! :angry: il get it clean and shiny on monday when im off again and update this thread again.
