Ah she looks a beut mate.

IMO I'd get a badged twin light grill on, and do something with the exhaust and the wheels. But that's just me.

But she looks clean as fook. Good buy my man. Wanna share with us what you paid (you don't need to BTW)?

Well i am tempted my so g60 rims at the mo  :cool: But cash is low at the mo lol.

Exhaust will be staying but i may change the grille for a genuine badged single headlamp grille.

Oh and i had the bloke's pants down i would say for what i pay'd for it imo :smiley: :smiley: £1200

130,000. But it has just had a full top end rebuild too, finished it yesterday.

Damn just found the reciept of purchase  :grin: :grin: :grin: I paid £1000  :grin: :grin: He wanted £1200  :grin: :laugh:

Loving the car too.....all black looks nice and stealthy!  ;-)

Only thing I can say I'd change would be the chrome strips in the door handles....fire on some matt black ones and keep the look going :)

I have been looking for black inserts on the bay but can only find chrome ones  :grin: :grin:

This is what i have still got to change.

Handle inserts
Grille
Fogs
Headlights
Single wiper
Wheels ( might go g60's) not toooooo sure  :undecided:

My two pence worth - I like the lights/grill set up as they are but what were you considering?   

And finally - Don't do the single wiper thing!!  Pleeaassseeee.....   :laugh: 

Just not a fan but of course we all have our own tastes.

Well single wiper is easy i have made 3 before they are pretty easy to do.

I want a genuine single headlamp grille with a black centre badge.

Just doing a deal on a power rohr for the old girl too  :grin:

For directing air to the air box, sits behind the grille.
Not sure if they defo work but with a few holes in the air box i can't see it doing any harm, plus i got it cheap which is a bonus  :smiley:

Hello peeps.

I have just got back from Power engineering for the PassionFord rolling road day and i must say a big thank you to the boys there who done me pround with the golf.

I was ummming and arrrring weather to run the golf or not but i just had to do it as i was the only vw there and had to keep up the german front lol.

First run was 149 bhp  and they said that it could do with 2 degrees advance on the timing, So they did that for me and asked if i wanted another run done, of course i said yes  :D  :D  :D  :D 

The result was

158 bhp and 133 lbs/ft       

Well happy with that

Just had a refurbed head fitted.

Stainless exhaust and 4 branch

Its got the 50mm inlet and a drilled air box.

Going to book up for a setup on the roller as they recon 170 will be possible with the fueling set up perfect.  :smiley:

as soon as i get my valver up and running i am going to take it to a rolling road!!

i have a question if someone would car to answer it, if my valver haslost power (heaven forbid) then is it just a case of them setting up the fueling and igniton or what have you to get it right or, if u havelost horses then is that it u cant get the back?

Mine was 149 first run and they adjusted the timing 2 degrees and got me 158.

It is all a case of getting the car setup right, air fuel timing the lot. Get it right and you get ya self a weapon lol.
