Title: Just popped in to introduce myself

Hi,

Got myself into the GTI club today when I bought a 1990 MK2 5 dr 16v in Tornado red. It was £1595 and completely standard apart from a Jetex Stainless steel exhaust, which I have to be honest is a bit noisy for my liking.

It has done 127,000 and still feels nice and tight. This is my first Mk2 but my fiancee drives a MK3 which I have to say is SLOW in comparison. I always wondered what all the fuss was about, and now I know - Mk2's are great.

I will post some pictures tomorrow once it has had a proper valet.

Pictures of my Valver will be uploaded tomorrow as I didn't manage to finish cleaning it today.

By the way I forgot to mention that I am 32 An engineer the designs x-ray machines for a living and a VAG nut at all other times. (Based in Oxfordshire)
