Title: corrupted stealers
Post by: nadlad on 27 January 2006, 17:44
today i wen tto citroen dont ask why just thought ad pop in coz it was the nearest stealers to where the mosque is anyway went in there and its all young lads working there, i was chattign to one of them and his mate pulled up in a golf mk4 that hed took for a test run  then he started looking at mine then i mentioned the rear window demister button not working...

he goes no problem ill just pop it out of this golf (i.e the customers golf who has brough it in to Citroen for a service) i wasnt really complaining anyway it took him two secs, basically clipped the blank next to it then used a scre driver to wedge the button out (u were right gazb on removing) anyway, cut a long story short he swapped botht the switches over mien is workign perfect now and i asked him what u gonna do if the customer says his switch is nackered he goes " ill just say it was workign fine when i used" end of story, so saved £39.56 including fitting from the svw stealers for 2 mins work,

i also got a back hand valet done for 20.00 which was a good valet inside out, j

moral of the story elaborates the coruuption withthin the stealerships.......stealers are expensive  and do crap jobs u may aswell go to a local garage round the corner who has been doing it for 30 years  and has experience rather than take it to a stealership who employ apprentice mechanics on £6.00 p/h doing cowboy jobs................. but then again we all want the VW stamp!!!
