Title: Valve stem seals

Ok my motor is smoking when i really boot it. Ive heard that this is often the valve stem seals. Whats involved in fixing this? Im gonna have a go myself but never done it before, i dont even know what they are or look like.

valve stem seal fatigue is normally noticeable if the car smokes from start up. again, normally if smoking occurs when you thrash it is is piston ring related  :wink:

it only seems to do it when i first boot it. While booting allong its ok i think.
