Title: Squint steering wheel
Post by: sKrEwBaLL on 14 November 2003, 13:22
My car just got two new CV gaiters fitted and now the steering wheel is squint (its pointing about 30 degrees right).  It is also now pulling slightly to the left.  What the f*ck have the garage done to make it do this?  I will take it back to them on Monday but it'd be good to know whats probably happened here.

Cheers

PS I also had a new shock fitted on the offside front.

hello mate not to sure about the steering wheel out but the pulling to the left could be the fact that you only replaced one shock your supposed to replace both really. goodluck in sorting it out :)

Yeah thats what I thought but it only needed one for the MOT and the garage said it would be OK to replace the single shock.  Last time I take my car there to get anything done.

My steering wheel was pionting right and my car was drifting to the left when i took my hands off the wheel.

I got the tracking done when i put new tires on.
that sorted the problem.

Get this check as it could also chew the inner front tires mate.
