After driving round in a Seat Ibiza for 18 months (all chaved up) i realised that it was time to get a real car. So i sold my Ibiza and invested in a mk3 golf gti! I've had it for 3 weeks now and im so glad i bought it. Its a Preg(96) in red, fsh, lady owner etc. 115k miles. i grabbed it for £1300. after needing new front springs (nsf broken), spark plugs, ht leads, distributor cap, rotor arm, distibutor, and a few bulbs it seems to be spot on. i have just put mk4 gti alloys on it to make it look abit newer.
The reason i needed a new distributor was because the Hall sender had a fault and the car woundn't rev above 5k, so if anyone else has this problem then id look into it lol! Im a mechanic so in actual fact it hasnt cost me alot to make it right.
The only thing i dont like is that its 5 door and the lads at work call me a family man but i can live with that because its the best car iv ever owned :)
Cheers
