Title: A big fast wide yank tank up my a**e
Post by: bulk66 on 25 January 2006, 23:20
I don't normally like to talk about any car that beats me off the lights or overtakes me and makes me look silly but i was on my way home tonight and in my rear view mirror i could make out some big shape behind me and i thought it was van or some thing. We came to my favorite little roundabout were i always leave most of the exec boys when they try to keep up with me, after the rounderbout theres about a 2 mile straight so my foots to the floor giving it every thing. Looked in my mirror nothing there looked back s**t on me this thing has come up the side of me and hell it was shifting then i realized it was a guy who lives over the road from me hes well into his Americana made me laugh anyway i think its a ford lightning and its on 24s. I wasn't as gutted as the guy who came past me in an brand new M5 and pulled up at the lights next to what i found out later to be a Mitsubishi legnum estate import it looked nothing until the M5 went for it and the Legnum left him for dust. I'm not into rice but this really made me laugh £0000s of pounds worth of BM lashed by 4k worth of jap lol.
Legnum                                             M5

isnt it great to know that there are cars out there you can buy for a bag of sand and they beat most things off the lights? im especially a massive fan of yank tanks. check out the price of a camaro z28. ok its not gonna beat the golf on the corners nor will the lightening but damn thats a car thats tough to beat anywhere for the money

I had a go in my mates El cameno a few weeks ago not all that fast but well cool. Nailing it up the main street is not the best idea when its been snowing though lol  Its a bit like this but darker blue.....

My '83 z28 camaro will have about 400 bhp and would nail my golf on the straight but then my mk2 would out handle it any day of the week .

Oooo that grill on the blue golf is interesing. Where did you get it? I might toy with the idea of a single one on my black golf as my current one is fooked.

well blue if you wanted to feel free to advertise your ridge runner events over at the AVO site.  (im not promoting any golf sites here, so hope this isnt spamming)  there will be a few people over there that you'll know and they will make you very welcome.
