I am thinking about getting a set of recaros from something like an escort rs turbo (or similar) and getting them re-trimmed in leather.

My question is this: With what mods will I get them to fit into my gti?
-
I think you'll need a set of Recaro runners for a VW.

Look on ebay - there's always a couple of pairs on there

if these go for less than 350 these are a bargain
-
how could i get the electrics to work on the electric recaro's?

-
connect it up to the battery. simple.

-
				lol   ;D

-
				 :'( I wish I had recaro's

-
nice set of fiesta rs turbo recaro's would go down a storm in me mk2! thinkin of gettin some, just cut up the old subframes and weld e, to recaro runners, cheap option!

-
you lot won't like me if I tell you how much I paid for my mint front and back eleccy's  ;)

-
Go on then. :) now i have to know

-
I was quoted by MJ Interiours.

 Front and rear seats....?550

 Door cards...................?300

 Delivery........................?50

 All cream leather........... ;D

Hmmm tempting as i expected it to be alot more.
-
?100 and I didn't pay for about 9 months after I swapped them into my car ;D

a mate was part-ex'ing his mk2 in for a diesel 306 cos he's at uni and couldn't afford the gti, so we swapped the seats over. ;D
-
There is a mk2 16v near me with a set of electric recaros the same as mine for sale he wants ?1200 for the car motd and taxed its a 89 f plate with big bumpers fitted. I will go and see if its still there if you want.

I think I will go and look around some next weekend. If That Golf is in decent shape I hate to break it for the interior.

-
i fancy those recaros on ebay is any one else going for them from here if not will go for them

-
Recaro's are an excellent upgrade. sometimes you can get away with the insurrance cos they're a 'direct replacement' ie, they came out of another mk2. That's what AXA said to me anyway.

The electric ones are good cos you can raise the seat up for driving hard and fast and then drop it back down to the floor for crusing round town ;D
-
				leather is better ;D

-
not when you're wearing shorts and it's 30?c in the summer ;D

-
split the difference and leather up yer Recaro's - hmm where did I put MJ's number?
