so this mornin im sat talkin to my car as i usually do while im waiting for her to warm up. Told her that she can have a good clean inside and out on thursday once i've handed all me work in, and that there is a clutch and release bearing in the garage waiting to be fitted soon (prob next weekend)
i pick jess up on the way and the cars runnin really well. and i'm a happy girl. Come to going home time and jess and i jump in teh car, and turn the key... sweet FA happens, not even a tick over, so being the girl i am i get out and open the bonnet.... for starters i don't even know what im lookin for, but hey jess and i looked anyway! Funnily enough we cudn't see anything and we laughing a lo over the engine bay!
My cuilding is next to mechanics, so out come all of these lads in overalls to ask i they can help. (none were fit - gutted) so they all have a look and say it all seems fine! so that R.A.C turn up.... its a bloody wire come off the starter!
all these mechanic men, none fit and none of them can see a wire off a starter... what do they teach?
haha, all sorted now, and the car flew home! v.happy girl
-
they were checking out ass not wires, didn't you notice them nudge nudge wink wink when they said it all looked fine?! :P
is jess the hot one i fancy with the curly hair and nice eyes?
-
also college mechanics courses are majorly toss. SO no surprise they couldn't find out what it was. Most probably didn't know what car it was.

-
College mechanics being crap eh?
Doesnt surprise me, you should be amazed they all managed to walk over to your car without tripping over. Bonus points for them walking to the right end of it.
-
lucy is 18 - sorry typo!
-
OoOoo im 18..
I think its time you introduced me to your friends
-
EEeeeeasssy Joe!
Han they weren't mechanics, they were grease monkeys !
-
probably not even that we call them fitters at work cause thats all the do
they are told to fit a oil filter and thats all they are capable of
anyway
what big eyes you have lucy
-
maybe just a hot fitter would do?!
-
Oi,leave college mechanics alone,i started my Mechanics night course tonight and had a really good laugh
-
but could you spot a wire disconnected from a mk2 starter motor?
-
they obviously came out 2 check u out, if they sorted it 4 u then ud leave and they wouldnt get a look.
-
Obviously not too smooth! If they'd of spotted it they could of "repaired" it but made it so it would fall off again in 5 or so minutes, and they could of given u their number to phone if u needed help! :P
-
u thought that thru nicely... now that is a lot smoother.
-
urrrrrm 18............
-
Oi oi! Dont you be planning on turning one of hans friends into a walking candy store like you do with the other ladies

-
but could you spot a wire disconnected from a mk2 starter motor?
I did mechanics too.
The starter motor is the first thing you can see when u lift the bonnet. duno how they missed that
-
just to agre with the generals, yeah, hans mate is indeed fit
-
yup, i know that too... its kinda why none of em are single....
-
Got to say i probably would have checked the starter first
-
hey i was a college mechanic, but to be fair the courses are sh!t and your better teaching yourself. no fit ones ay there were loads in my year.
-
boys your thing?
-

all fairness to mechanics we do have a few good ones at our place
but really i know more than most of them cause i have been doing it so long and i am only in parts they always come and ask me for advice or i help them diagnose some problems cause im pretty sh!t hot on volvos computer system
not being big headed or anything
-
boys my thing! err no. :embarassed: just sayin
-
the course must have been sponsored by kwik fit :undecided:
-
yup, i know that too... its kinda why none of em are single....
Did their boyfriends parents not teech em to share? :smug:
-
None of them fit?
I have been relying on personality for years but now apparently thats out the window too
-
same thing happened today, so i oened bonnet, wiggled a wire and i made it home...
i need to change my looks to look like them.. maybe i'll stand mor chance!
-
 You dont need to change anything! Your fine the way you are. (http://www.designerslounge.org/board/html/emoticons/happy.gif)
Sounds like a duct tape job to me
-
haha cheers hypno, i'll ask me dad...
-
Could you just solder the wire up?.
-
dad says it needs a new end, so he'l do it for me
-
HEY! I'm a college mechanic too! I agree the course is sh!te and your better off teaching yourself...however they have all the right tools and equipment...
Besides I'm blonde and very capable of fixing my motor  yay me lol
Try doing everything yourself Han, do you have a haynes manual? If ya do then your away lol

mine did the same the other day, live connection was messed up, re did the conection and all fine now.
-
im pretty capable tbh, but its safer if someone else does it, as i dont have me own tools, and the stuff in the garage is my bros and my dads and i cant do oit on me own. easier to get someone else and just watcch! lol,
-
The old Stevie Wonder inspection eh!
Or more like they only get taught that next term!
It's same addage as always, learn at college/uni and spend 3 years learning nothing useful come out and your mate who left after school is your manager because he knows more than you lol
oh and your mate may be fit but those glasses do nothing for her!!!
