The "real" ones are fairly sturdy. They have a 6.5 liter turbo diesel with an automatic transmission and the ability to straddle a fire hydrant with out bottoming. I have never seen or been in one that didn't have squealing and usually almost scary brakes. and the seating leaves alittle to be desired. Think I'll stick with my GTI. Then again I have never driven one with 24" wheels and street tyres. might be fun.
