plz help me
-
There ya go!
Might as well go the whole hog & get 18's
17" Santa Monica's look alright, though.
-
ive reson y i ask becoz my mate is sellin his S3 rims cheap juts seein wot peolpe think. thanks 4 votin
-
I got 18's but i think 17's look fine . Ivor is right in saying that the santa monicas are cool too(Sold a set last year). If you are buying S3 wheels then they will need to be replica's as Audi has a different stud pattern to VW :undecided:
-
:smiley:I have 17's and think they look the cool. They dont compromise too much with the ride comfort either. 18's look even better though in my opinion. Cant afford the rubber though.
-
audi s3 and the a3 range alloys will fit the mk4 golf no probs..!!!! i has s3 rims on mine and they were a straight fit as pcd and off set the same.....
tis only the bigger audis that you need replicas for as the pcd is bigger....
ive got rid of my mk4 now but i havent forgot the basic 'i know what i know stuff'...........
-
A3, TT, all fine - they are Golfs really anyway.
Its the A4, A6 and Passatt that have diff stud patterns.
-
nice, cool to know as i yhought all audi were the same :embarassed:
-
i think 17" too small
-
17s look alright in my opinion. I got me some audi TT avus 225/45/17s a couple of yrs back. Good comprimise between looks and comfort (?)
-
i think they look too small the golf has big arches and needs big rims to fill them although i cant afford any wheels yet but its down to your own personal preference at the end of the day but remember bigger wheels equals a lighter wallet when the tyres need changing
-
Got 17" on mine but 18" would look better, come on lottery numbers hurry up!!
-
Personally I say 18" Rims look the business. I'm literally holding myself back from putting a set on my mk4 as I want to keep it standard and boring.
-
18"s rock, they might cost more when the tyres need doin, but its defo worth the cost
-
if you get 17s youl only wish youd gone bigger. a mates dad had a 1.8t with some awesome 19s on it that looked stunning.
given the choice, spend the extra and get the 18s!
-
approx how much would a set of tyres rolling on 18's cost??
-
the cost of tyres varies quite alot, but out of curiosity i checked when i first got my 18's and it was roughly £120 per corner....but that was 6mths ago and they were for Avons low profiles.
the cost might have come down abit now (but i doubt it)
it really is worth the look though (in my opinion)
on mk4's the arches are just so big!!!!
-
When I priced mine up they ranged from £90 to £180 depending on quality. I agree with above tho, for a good all round tyre £120 a corner would be good
-

-
17's look allright if your cars lowered but if u keeping standard height then go for 18's i have 18" rs4 alloys on my golf look lethal.
-
Stick it on 18"s you know it makes sense!
This is a cheap site for any size tyre.

I got my signature pic sorted now, so you can see what 17's look like (note: my suspension is dropped 40mm). Tyres cost about £100-120 each for decent ones.
