anyone know and easy way of topping up the oil in a mk1 cab powerhood thingy
it seems to be a allen key affair but its not a 5 or a 4 mm key
do the stealers have a proper tool for this or could it be an old imperial size alln key that does it.
hood all works just realy slow cause i load of oil has leaked out through a leaky joint.

tut..we have a mk1 section ya know! :laugh:
mines a hexagonal screw hun,unscrew that..and pour oil in..easy peasy! ads always reckoned it was easier using a syringe :smiley:
oh..and mine sumtimes has days wen its slower than normal..u have just reminded me that mine will need a top up actually wen she comes out to play.. :cool:

well yeah i thought that but the size of the hex key is a bit wierd.
let me get this right the top up thing is on the top of the pump yeah, looks like a small hex bolt.
if thats it its a bloody starnge size cause a 4mil is too small and a 5 mil is too big
so it if there is such a thing a 4.5mil
unless this isnt the correct thing im looking at

super dam dooper.
i was so happy when it worked the first time
didnt like working on a hill though.. lol
ill try and get a tool for it, lastly is the oil he same stuff as you use in trolley jacks and things like that.

if you mean hydraulic..then yer...can be purchased from vag..proper no is probs posted on forum sumwhere..gibs or ?ads mayb be able to remember it off top o head.. :smiley:

I've got the VAG hydraulic oil in the boot for mine, if you need to know the part number let me know and I'll find out for you.
