I have been looking out for smoked Jetta lamps but so far only seen them in LHD.  :sad:

Im after smoked lamps. Thought about spraying them with tint spray but the light will be crap!  :rolleyes:

maybe a little tint spray might not effect it that bad? have you got an uprated loom? im getting a jetta front end soon

There was a guy in this months pvw who made his own smoked lights for a rallye.  He said it was a case of do or die but he cut the fronts of the lenses off and then proceeded to spray the inside with satin black and then glued the clear lense back on. I'll check the article thing when i get home....

So, i wonder how the light beam is affected?
I could do the same, spray the outside of Jetta lenses half smoke so would look even more like Rallye lights!

Wont pass MOT though like that i wouldnt of thought?!  :undecided:

he didnt spray the lense he just sprayed the back piece were the bulbs are...  the reflection piece!

they look sweet but pricey and out of stock, maybe they will get more in?

Those tinted ones look sweet, bit over priced!!  :shocked:
Ive been thinking, (i shouldnt do that) but tinted lights on a black car with black wheels might look a bit...black?!  :huh:

and i think thats a good thing black is goooood, i had a conversation with the guy i got my slam panel and lights from at volksmaina in bath, he advised against it due to MOT which im sure will be ok if the beams still ok, plus if its metalic black then surely it will still reflect??? and also getting it open could be very hard but hey its a challenge, what i think i may do is ask the gy whoes gonna do my MOT and see what he says.... at least that will get that risk out the way
