got myself some new number plates this week! i went onto a design your own plates website

they do offer all the non road legal stuff as well, but do make it very clear what is legal! so you can't go wrong! i was very impressed! plus i ordered them thursday night and they were here saturday morning! :smug:

Think Chavfords sell those ones and the lettering behind makes them illegal sorry but German plates for me as above poke the law with a sharp pointy stick! BTW German plates are perfectly legal!! the Typeface is the correct size and spacing they're E marked and they're Reflective as long as the colours are correct white front yellow rear so there really is rod all they can do unless you try to go abroad!!!

Germans are illegal cause they got the D on the left I think :undecided:
All we are meant to have legally is a GB or the Euro Flag star thing :undecided: :undecided: :undecided:

having the D on the end is just as illegal as having the VW sign or whatever else isn't GB or euro flag.
German plates also have the wrong font and more often than not the spacing is wrong.

But it doesn't stop the german plates being v.cool, especially the one with the ':' seal!!!

opinions are like arseh@les, everyone has one.. thats why we are all different.
i think the german plates are cool... but at the end of the day they are just a bit of punched metal or plastic. lets face it any number plate spoils the look of the car..
only have them on a car cause we have to.
is it me or are some peeps getting a bit humpy on here.
just an observation.

to be honest dude theres too many people on here that think they know best when they dont know any where near enough.if some one likes sumik then thats there choice!but to basicaly come out with no theyre crap is out of order.i know it wasnt said in them words but thats how it has come across.i agree plates dont do anything for the look of your car but if you like them then thats all that should matter!

I like em!! I hav some fancy plates too lol!! and i have also noticed that some ppl are getting quite grumpy!! We all like to do what we like to our cars,weather one person likes it or not it doesnt matter, but lets not forget all of us have something in common, we are all vee dub nuts!! :laugh:

well yes that is very true!!we are!!it would seem that this has all been resolved now and everybody is happy again.im glad you said you liked them as im sure nic wasnt happy about her plates being slated!its cool carl!i guess you just dont expect the negative kind of attitude from a mod!??i like the aswell nic but if im honest il stay with what i have??which arent german plates either.i like to make sure i stay on the right side of the law at all times!my driving is bad enough!lol

and yeah it isn't nice when your car (or parts of it) are slated, makes a girls reluctant to share in the future...... :sad: don't get me wrong i don't mind people giving opinions but as my dear old Nan used to say "if you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all" and i think we'd all do well to remember that lately....... :lipsrsealed:

thing is when you place something on a public forum you cannot expect everyone to like it, and whether it is good or bad feedback from people its what you like so what does it matter what others think? So it might be better if people took things at face value as a pose to reading waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay between the lines.

It's not my trouble at all, it's how i have been since i joined here and nothing is going to change that. As i said to nic playing the woman card is just not going to cut it, whether you are male or female the response would be the same.
So if i am not going to lick someones arse cos i prefer something else i am meant to be all nicey nicey about it?? Not a chance, it's a public forum where everyone is entitled to a say, whether it be good or bad. If people don't like hearing the truth plain and simple and not wrapped up in a cotton candy shell then don't post. I'm not going to pretend to be something i am not. We can go round in circles about this as much as you like, bottom line is i say what i think, i don't say things to make sure i protect peoples feelings.

i cant see the orig plates... but i think anything is better than my pissed up plates, none of the lines are parallel on either of mine... haha!

Yep can confirm if you get the UK version they are perfectly legal might have a quibble over the german flag if it is an arsy copper but u get a £30 FP and producer so WTF!!!! Look way cooler than plastic sticky boggo standardo ones!!! That is In my opinion which may be offensive, rude, biased or incorrect LOL :laugh :D

mine are aye, look just like uk plates apart from they are pressed and have a D in the corner. Uber Cool in my opinion. :cool:
