hi fellas im dan 26 and ive just bought a real munter of a golf. (mk2) needs paint and engine work so hoping this busy forum is gonna help push me in the right direction..

im also part of the UK yank motor scene and have more toys than i should have

pictures?  always a pleasure never a chore!  heres the golf. thought the numberplate was very fitting. i will paint it myself maybe in a chicano lowrider style with ghosting or similar, but until i spend money on it i need to get it running better seeing as these seem to be worth naff all at the moment (is anyone stockpiling this clearly obvious future classic? now would be the time id think)

the yanks are a 1962 chevy impala SC with a 350 CUI and the truck is an IH loadstar with spec lift. that aslo has close to 5.7ltrs under the hood.  the mopeds are more for fun than anything else.  ive crashed too many 'proper' bikes and my family are a  little concerned to say the least

yep spot on slick  i go up for the guilford yank cruise every month.

hey toad are you SURE you wanna play with my horn.....   :huh:

its not got a horn right now but the resto is complete in march and then i want to add one of those train horns that use a big ol' compressor just to blow twice!  i know a guy who has one and its so loud it makes every one jump at least 2 inchs.

for the golf the next addition is a new maf,  from what ive read here it seems to be a common problem and could be the cause of all my hassle!  i sure hope it is

thanks for all the kind welcomes guys you are a credit to this forum i would think..    im sure i will stick around if on ly to annoy you all..

update on the car. new maf on its way and all bodywork has been prepped ready for paint in a few weeks when i got the time to devote to it
