Title: lying fuel computer

my fuel computer is reading 99.9MPG and i know the little minkie is lying to me, anyone know how it works or where it takes it's reading from?
Mk2 1800 8V, PB Digifant.
Any idea's?

dont no mate, dout its rite, if it is i would ring gunnis world recoulds if i was you. try re seting it, c if that solves it

there's a small vacume hose that connects to the back of your dials. my guess is that's come loose or has a break in it.

thanks Dizzie, didn't know it was vacuum operated, so at least i know where to start looking.
