Just get an old socket which is slightly smaller than the nuts in there and hammer it on until its got a decent grip on them. Took me 5 mins to remove the four on my car when I lost the locking wheel nut key (when I say lost I mean I drove off while it was still on one of the bolts!!  ). Helps if you have a thin piece of metal bar to hammer through the socket to push the bolt out once you've got it off too.

they do locking wheel nut removers. I have raised your point with my manager myself and it was quickly discussed as we were rammed at the time. I will be raising it again, as anyone could come into the store and buy one.

if they are the original VW or Audi locking nuts go along to your local dealer and they will have a master key box with all the various locking key designs and they will get them off. you can then order a new one. This happened to me on my Mk3 but the locking nut was so damaged that I had to drill it out in the end. Any other methods (which I tried ) like the socket banged over the top failed to work on mine and damaged the alloy. Not seen the Hlafords tool but wish I had known about it in the past!!

You can usually find a local garage or alloy wheel centre who will take them off for you. I had this problem a few years ago when i had a classic rs1600i escort, i took it to a place called xtreme in harlow, essex and they removed them for me in about 15mins. They did charge about £40 though and then sold me a new set too!
