Sellers, if both your parents have high no claims bonus' add them as 2nd and 3rd named drivers it can drop you by a few hundred quid.

From what i've found your not gonna get it any cheaper than that! I'm looking at around £800 with bell (owned by admiral/elephant) on an 8v mk2 gti with 1 years ncb at 19, and about 12-1300 for a valver, both in my name with parents as named drivers. What did you say when you phoned up then to get it cheaper???

Stupid thing is, it will be £900tpf&t for my sister when she passes her test being 17 years old with no ncb (obviously!) on an 8v gti! Life ain't fair!!!

Im with the golf plus insurance thru the HIC, got a really good deal with them. Im 27 and female which obviously helps but have 4 points on my licence, have declared every single mod, got an agreed value for the car and am fully comp for just under £400. Worth ringing them up x
