Title: can you get outer mirror cover blanks
Post by: jims13 on 17 January 2006, 18:45: for a mk2 golf, i have some f1 stlye mirrors i wanna fit, and this would make life easy as i can bolt them directly to them, or am i gonna have to make some out of sticky back plastic and bluetack.

Post by: ...joe on 17 January 2006, 18:59: you used to be able to but they aren't available from vw anymore, so you might have to be a bit creative..... or get some base plates from a tuning shop that sells m3/dtm mirrors etc and just do some filling of holes if they don't get covered by the mirrors you've got.

didnt wanna resort to buying baseplates and filling them, not just yet.
