I could talk all day about my car...but I'll try to keep it short

I've owned this since August, FULL VW service history. Totally mint in every way. Not a standard 8v engine either, have been rolling roaded at 143bhp 147lb ft.

Recently changed all lights to crystal (16v smoked on the rear) and soon to add a 4-lamp grill.

Also have a Mk1 GTi convertible for when I was to pose with the girlf.

Hope you like!

Welcome :)

Nice car! dont see too many blue ones around in that shade. Did you modify it from standard, or by it pre-modded?.

I bought it pre-modified in August.

It originally had massive 17" rims and even with the rolled arches it would scrub with more than one slim person in the car.

I've done the odd thing like change the headunit, speakers (direct replacement upgrades, none of this 6x9 bollocks) changed the grill back to a original 4-headlight one and generally keep the car minty-fresh.

Too late!  I've changed it to a 4-lamp grill (all crystal lights) with a 'GTi' badge on the front and it looks amazing, especially with the uprated headlight bulbs. I've also removed the eyebrow spoiler - which I might attach again when I'm feeling a bit brave to drill holes in the grille!

As for the convertible...

My girlf and I are insured on each others cars and, obvioulsy, she drives the convertible more...and I drive the Mk2. When I need to do a bit of posing, I whack on the TopGun shades, put the roof down and mince about town

My Mk2 had its MOT over the weekend, they (VW dealership of course) also fitted a weighted gearshift from a Mk3 Golf and took it upon themselves to tune the car...oh...my...god did it make a difference! Maybe I'm a bit closer to the 150bhp now? Soon I'll find out because I'm got a rolling road day this Saturday.

Four lamp grill fan here too

Before and after pics???

Bulb upgrade make a hell of a difference - we're on 130/90W

And your cars look stunning btw (even lacking two lamps!)

Thanks for the comments of the car chaps, I hope they do look stunning. We put a lot of effort into them.

Now for some photos of the front of the car due to peeps keep asking me, I'd like to point out that - THE FRONT OF MY CAR IS VERY DIRTY AND THESE ARE QUICK PHOTOS TAKEN IN MY GARAGE!

In my very limited opinion, four lights improves your front end

But I am biased!
