I''m likin the dash in the mk1 (CitiGolf) That'd bring the mk1 GTI interior right up to date...
-
i remember them years back
im shure i have seen them over here
and heres a modified one http://www.modifiedtrucks.com/trucks/306.htm
-
Yeah, its an old Caddy, but i guess there is still a market for the small pickup in South Aarfriicaa and VW can't be bothered to go through the design stages again and still use the old design.
-
Seems like South Africa is the place to be for new old dubs! they should bring things like the scirocco back in aswell!! 20valve lump in it!
-
I wonder how much it'd be to import a Citi golf? I like it... but it doesnt look like a normal mk1? Its part mk1 part mk2 if im not mistaken? Looking at the rear the panel seems larger?.

i think its mad how they stil make them to this day in South Africa! why there and not every where?!?

They sell loads of different types all over the world... just depends where they decide the car would do well, and how many different models they're already selling in a country and how well they're selling.
Brazil has some quite different VW's... some are quite nice too
VW Crossfox

VW Parati
(http://www.riederusados.com.py/autosfotos/parati_telecel_gr.jpg)
and.. brace yourself.. they still sell these beautys but under the name "VW Kombi (http://www.vw.com.br/default.asp?turl=%2Fautomoveis%2Fkombi%2FDefault%2Easp%3F)"
and an updated caddy - the "VW Saveiro"

-
only reason the older models are being repro'd as new is because VW no longer build them they have sold off some of the rights to countries such as brazil and mexico.
-
