Does anyone know if the flip key fob (MK4 I believe) can be retro fitted to take a Mk2 key pattern. And if so how much and who could do it?
Also would a specific model alarm/remote locking system be needed to run with the key fob sender or can it be mated with any system?

Thanks afor the link to the 16v key balnks. I have been looking for another. I have the original but a spare would sure be nice.

Thanx for the link m8, but I still prefer the switchblade.
I might pick one of those blanks as a spare (and to give if I ever sell me ride)
I'm gonna assume that I can get a car alarm that can work with the key fob.

I wouldn't mind one of the new types if you can program my alarm to the fob. I only have 1 fob atm for my alarm so if its' lost or broke I can't arm/disarm my alarm >:(
