Post by: mk2_singh on 14 January 2006, 14:19

I need some desperately in Feb or March.

all depends on the look you want, euro, slammed, v.clean, small old school rims, chrome..... small bumpers.

tougher looking, brit look, bigger rims, that sort of thing.... big bumpers

going for plain and simple standard look with flare.

keeping bodywork stock. getting them crystal headlights and crystal side lights. got the GTI lights on the back goes nice with the atlas grey.  got them BBS's etc.

just some delocking flushing of handles next etc. gonna stick with the small bumper thing. i like it retro and stock style

Ive voted big but Im really starting to come round to small bumpers, can look sh!t hot on the right car. I really like small bumpers with the chrome strip on a black mk 2 golf (suits the golf better that the jetta imo) x

i prefer small bumpers and decked suspension, no need for arch extensions... just subtle but a bit menacing.

It also depends on the colour of the car.
I've got a jade green GTI and there is no way that colour would look good with big bumpers!!
I've removed my arch extensions and added 90 spec side strips and about to add some old school CL rear arch spats which are harder to get than hens teeth!!

I'm also contemplating removing the red inserts on my bumpers and getting some chrome sticky strips on a roll from Halfords (it seems decent looking stuff)

The above changes with my new alloys (waiting for road salt season to end) and my new Milltek exhaust should make the car nice and subtle

If the car is already small bumpers and the valance isnt rusty then stick with the small bumpers and get it slammed. I was going to but big bumpers on my old valver (also in atlas grey) coz it was rusty all round the rear valance near the exhaust so just to cover it up

You can get them for £30ish each from GSF (the whole bumper)
