Hello,
Can someone help me out please. I have a Golf Mk4 1.9 GT TDI on a S plate. The electric windows, central locking via the keyfob, interior lights, sunroof, and the alarm does not activate or deactivte. Whats going on? i've tried to change the fuses but makes no difference, changed the batteries in the keyfob no difference.
Where can the fault be? how can i resolve this?

have you tried using your spare remote fob? any difference?. there are instructions in your glovebox manual tells you how to reprogram the remotes

Slight problme with the spare remote keyfob, I cant find it, costs a bomb to obtain a new one from VW, manual has basic instructions on how to re-sync the keyfob, tried that, but still does not work.

Very new to mk4's myself but, isn't there a box that looks after all those components. I'll ask at work as I'm fairly certain my mate had problems with his electric windows and he had to have this unit replaced.

i had the same problem with my gt tdi130 (2002) 2 weeks ago, it was all down to a slight fault with my interior light switch, for some reason it had blown the fuse(fuse number 14(10 amp)). that stoped my interior lights from working, windows, alarm, remote central locking, etc. i just replaced the fuse and its fine now. BUT if this doen't work don't forget to lock your boot, because it doesn't lock with the central locking when you use the key!!! i don't know why?????
