Title: 911 seats in a mk1 cabrio
Post by: mr.s on 10 January 2006, 20:39
I am looking at getting my interior retrimmed, but had this notion about fitting 911 or boxster seats.
Has anyone tried this in a mk1 cabrio?
Is it a HUGE job....etc. etc.etc

nope all you need is some clever chap to adapt the subfarme. whihc is normally a case of welding up a scirocco subfarame onto the base of the porker seats

do it mate, 911 porsche seats are lush. there was a corrado at e38 this year with porsche wheels, brakes and seats pictured below. get it done!

yup looks like I will do it, watching a few sets on ebay at the moment, would be nice to get some heated ones for those top down cold winter mornings. I heard somewhere that corrado subfames are lower than the vw ones

heard you get problems with scirocco frames which is why im using rado ones. Not sure if thats the same case in a mk1?

both give lower driving position.

thought mk2 polo coupe frames were best suited for the mk1?
