Title: Leather Re Trim Quote
Post by: lesley on 09 January 2006, 17:49
Hiya folks!

was quoted £1,200 for a re trim of my mk3... tbh i wasnt expecting it to cost this much, i thought maybe £600 / £700 but does this sound about an average price????

pretty much yeah, from £850 upwards is what i'd expect to pay. is that for seats & door cards? you can get cheaper quotes but i think with things like this you get what you pay for.... a cheaper option you might want to try is to get them leather faced. this means the bits you sit on are leather but the backs, lower sides etc are a vinyl. modern yinyls are bloody good and you'd be hard pushed to tell the difference and most cars offering leather interiors are leather faced rather than full leather.

I just paid £1050 for full re trim in part leather part cloth. That sounds like a reasonable price to me.

This is where GemGTI had it done so have a look at the price list for some ballpark figures. http://www.mjinteriors.co.uk/Prices.htm
