Whatcha,
I have a sportline cabrio with 15" black BBS alloys, dimensions 6 x 15. The tyres on there at the moment are 185 55 15. I have been advised that I can fit 195s to these rims (195 50 15) which gives approximately the same rolling radius. So my questions are:
1. Can I fit a 195 section tyre to a 6 inch rim?
2. Will the increased width of tyre improve the grip or impair the handling?
3. Will there be increased tyre noise from going up a size?
The 195 50 are actually cheaper than 185 55, so I'm tempted to go for these, but just wondered if anyone had any experience of this.
Cheers

Nankang do a 185/45/R15 that would give you a slightly 'stretched' look, but as for more grip it depends on the compound, and as for tyre noise, I wouldn't be able to comment as my stereo is too loud!!

i got 195/50/15's on my bbs and they're cool.

195/50/15's are filthy cheap and will fit no problem. I went for 195/45/15's on my Sportline but then that is because I am a :nerd: and think they look much better
I don't think you will notice any real difference in handling or noise across all 3 options.

i am looking to change my tyres to 45's as i have 50's at the mo and i think there is far too much tyre wall, i didnt know you could get 185,45's! they might look trick!
