Title: Changing bulbs for led's
Post by: bampotman on 07 January 2006, 22:00
Anyone changed the interior dash bulbs for led's. I was thinking of changing them on my car but don't know how hard it would be. The speedo bulbs I can do but the heater control lighting is a bit rubbish so I was gonna add 1 led for each control. Has anyone tried this? where did you mount the led's? Thinking of copying mk4 - red for controls with blue for speedo

I thought of this, and looked into it, and i'm not going to bother, as the little bulbs that go behide the heater controls and the one behide the light switch are clear, so to put in red ones, you'll lose the brightness. and cos there clear, the green look you get, is on the inside of the plastic planels anyway, so it's pointless. the mk4 must have red backing to there controls to make them red.
So the only thing you can do is.....a Mk4 dash conversion,
oh well.
