Title: Angle Eyes & Fogs
Post by: HayleyS on 07 January 2006, 18:12
Hi guys, how you all doing?

Need your opinions please  :undecided: .....

I am looking into getting Angel Eyes in the near future for my Mk3 GTi, most likely the Hella ones.

Firstly - the ones I prefer for my car (Mystic Blue) are the black background ones, rather than the silver reflective looking ones. What do you all think?

Then - If I went for the black background ones, would you say that I should go for the Crystal fog/indicator set or the smoked black ones? I would have said the smoked straight off, however I saw a Mk3 in a mag today with the black Angels & crystal fogs, and it actually looked pretty good.

But, I want to know what you all think would look best (which Angels & which combination).

Cheers guys, will be a big help!!

think you are onto a winner with the projector angel eyes, and crystal indicators and fogs.

Get a front pic of the car up and i will shop them into it for you.

I think thats something the police are tightening up on as there are so many people driving around with them on constantly. But I do agree that they should take a little bit more notice of the weather conditions before dishing out fines.

Got to be honest, I dont drive round with mine on when not needed. Nothing worse that a bright set of fogs blaring in your rear view mirror, major headache (literally). Was cursing some guy in a rover all the way home tonight. Felt like pulling over, then back out behind him and following him with my full beam on. See how he liked getting blinded.
Admitedly some are much brighter than others though.

anyone drives behind me they get the rear fogs turned on, same as if they drive towards me with fogs on, my mains come on, and they are slightly illegal 100w spot bulbs

FECK EM, THATS WHAT I SAY.......

Here's a pic I just found of my car front on.

Would it be poss for you to photoshop in both the chrome & black background Angels so I can see how both would look? Much appreciated Slick

Where is the cheapest place to buy Hella Angel's & replacement Fog/indicator lenses?

E-bay seems to be roughly on par with the price i've had from my local supplier.

Wow, they look almost real!!  Good job, cheers.

Wouldnt go for the projectors and smooth the front bumber. I like the look of the fogs etc in the bumper.

But I do like the black surround angels, probably without the eyebrows (would be kinda difficuilt as they are bonded on my current lenses anyway).
Not sure about the Crystals with them though. May either go for the smoked ones or even lightly smoke my existing ones myself.

Wot does everyone think?

Thanks so much, thats a great help. Now all I need is the funds.  :undecided:

Does anyone know....

What bulbs you use for Angel Eyes? Are there a certain type or would they be the same as im already using? Just thinking ahead for replacements.

Where is the cheapest place to get Hella Angel's, apart from e-bay?

Do angel eyes work with the existing interior headlight beam adjuster dial ?

The rings are really just for markers, so I'd doubt it.

You need to clip these extra wires to your sidelight connector

which web-site did you find the pic of the Smoked angel's?
Im having trouble finding some.
The ones on e-bay I dont particularly like, and a local shop can supply some but they only have one ring per light instead of two which I dont want, I want 2 rings in each light like the image that you have done for me.
Any ideas anyone?
