Reversing off my drive this morning turning on full lock and got a loud whine/squeak noise. Sounded like it was coming from the outside of the car, driver's side.......anybody got a clue what it could be? I have noticed a few more squeaks since the missing brake pad shims were replaced on the drivers front wheel, not sure if that could be connected? :undecided:

topmount?
power steering pump?

Sounds more like the power steering if you have it, as if you put it on full lock it is under most strain. Might just need the belt replacing.... much like mine does.

Mine dose exactly the same thing on full lock it makes a loud squeek, mine has PAS must get it sorted..........

Thanks guys - I do have power steering - checked the fluid level which seems ok.......A belt has been slipping a bit lately just been chucking WD40 on it to keep it quiet! lol
