Title: Clutch pedal very hard

Hi all,
My clutch cable snapped on my golf mk2 8v and has been replaced with a manual cable and find the clutch pedal very hard.
Has anyone got any ideas what could be wrong?

If cable is ok then your pressure plate is knackered, new clutch needed.
