Title: cambelt adjust

i have a mk 3 golf gti 16v.it had the 60k service with the cambelt and tensioner changed.its now on 75k and the cam belt seems to have play in it.is there a way to adjust this?thanks for your help.

Maybe the tensioner has stuck and isnt doing its job i.e holding tension in the belt. Get it checked out, and do it sooner rather than later!

The ABF engine is fitted with a spring loaded timing belt tensioner, this is to keep correct tension at all times.
Check that the arrow lines up with the gap, in this pic its a bit off...

If they don't line up then you are in trouble..
