i have a mk 3 gti 2.0, without sounding daft cos im new to this, what can i do to mod the engine/car to get better performance? i have just ordered a k&n 57i and because i drive a 97 p plate with hitachi mas so it was the dearest of the bunch!, any recomendations or guides anyone can point me to so i can get more out of my car

welcome there.....

1st thing I'd do is get a refund on the K&N mate, they do next to nowt.... You can mod the airbox to make the car have the induction roar if you want it....

Next is an exhaust, then a chip might make it feel a bit more responsive. Then cams, then a flywheel, then a new head, then a new block with larger bore with forged pistons, then a special drive system so you can drive with only one arm and one leg........

cheers, any advice on chips, ive heard lots of conflicting stories, some good but loads saying they dont do jack
