Title: mk2 vr6 possesed by satan him self !!!!
Post by: bulk66 on 03 January 2006, 23:31: My brother finale got himself a mk2 vr6, i had a go today and nearly s**tÃƒâ€šÃ‚Â my pants this thing sounds like its been possessed hes getting some more baffles put in the custom exhaust that its got coz it sounds like a god dammed rally car. And the acceleration Jesus, I drove nice and steady down the street got on a local dual carrage way and nailed it my god.I got past 3ooorpm and its all went crazy. I have been working out all day what parts of my body i can sell to get the cash to buy one. I got back in my 8v and i felt very inadequate oh well.

Oh anyone going to The Ultimate Dub Show 2006 @ Telford in march is it normally any good Coz me and my brother are planing on taking a trip down if its worth it......

There is also an early one in February at Staffordshire County Showground that looks like it might be decent.

i've got my 16v booked in at TSR engineering in Feb for some goodies to be sorted out.... i've managed to persuade "the boss" that its "an investment", however, also explaining that i'll need to stay overnight on my lonesome is another matter!!

I came home yesterday to find she had ordered it for me and guess what, she had ordered the right one for my 8v. I was chuffed to bits she punched me when i mentioned smoked cross hairs.........lolÃƒâ€šÃ‚Â Ãƒâ€šÃ‚Â :grin:

by vr6 do you mean the 2.8 straight 6, or do you mean with a supercharger?

They are all narrow angle v6s, 15degree rather than 60degree angle...

I want a VR6 so much, i heard a corrado VR6 hammer it past the other day, sounded awesome! Its a tough battle between the G-Lader roar of the G60 with the added supercharger whine or the VR6 sound, i cant even describe it its that good!

so is his the 2.8 out of the golf, not the 2.9 from the corrado?

Post by: bulk66 on 10 January 2006, 21:05: Yea his is the 2.8 from the golf you don't know how much i want this car, but I'm happy with my 8v at the mo. The vr had a straight through exhaust on it but it was mad so he had a silencer fitted to it and its still mad lol. It has B1 Brock's 16x9s and front koni adjustables that snap your spine even on soft setting. Hes been after one of these for ages and now he has it he wants rid theres nothing wrong with the car but hes got a kid now and its just to hardcore for him hes only had it for a couple of weeks now it is mad but you know how it is when you make a big mistake. I think he will be happy if he can make his money back on it then hes looking for some thing a bit more comfey i think hes a poof but thats just my opinion lol. He either wants a 5 door vr6 mk3 high line or wait for it a Volvo s60 2.0 turbo a true family motor at least he will be safe and hes changing his name to Sven and hes going to grow a big porn tash........ :grin:

Post by: Logie on 11 January 2006, 16:55: Just bought a VR6 engine (2.8 version) with loom and ECU. Dont suppose theres a guide floating around the net on fitting these? Also do i have to hammer one section of the engine by for clearance for the cams? Or am i thinking about another engine? :p
