my dad was moving a wrote off car at his work. 2 people pushing the back. he was pulling and steering with a trolley jack on the front. his hand slipped off and started to fall. tried to outrun the fall and ran flat out into another car. broke his arm in 3 places. then it healed wrong. then got a blood clot. he's alright now though.

Could have been worse Lewy! Could have been a fence post!
When I was about 12 my dad took the saw off me and said it was dangerous. He then proceeded to cut the wood and then he took the tip of his thumb off!

When my family lived in OZ when I was a kid - my dad was working on a new house and put a pump action screw drivers into his leg and it went out the other side of his leg - he had to drive himself to the nearest hospital (30 miles away) and get them to take it out - he has the best scare I've ever seen on his leg.
I still think the pump action screw drivers are wicked...  he still has that screw driver as well.... (sick)
When I was working on the black cab in Nov - I cut my chest to the bone - with working inside the engine bay area - F*cking hurt as hell - blood everywhere - cool.... NOT... I'll be the first to say I passed out after a few minutes... gave my brother a shock when he found me on the floor in the garage.... - have a lovely scare now right in middle of my chest...

You will all be pleased to know that i have just dislocated my finger. went to get out of my chair, caught it inbetween the chair and the table and twisted. Pop!! out if came, i think the neighbours might have just heard me swear.
Feels dead funny popping it back in though, makes you wince a tiny bit too........ well ok lots of gritted teeth swearing
-
nice
did it make a bone against bone ginding noise
-
to be fair i wasn't paying that much attention, more clasping my hand, and trying not to fall on the floor crying like a little girl whilst i yanked it out and put it back in its socket again. :embarassed:

A couple of years ago, a friend was doing some DIY in his loft, and managed to drill right through his hand, through a load of tendons.
A while ago I managed to smash a chunky of flesh off the side of my thumb with a hammer.
But I've still never managed to break a bone.
Why do injuries sound so cool, unless you're the one getting hurt? And even then, once you're over the pain, it's cool to tell people about it.
