OK, as everyone knows, yesterday was pretty damn wet daan saarf.
I went to pick up my mates girlfriend from her work around ongar (loads of country roads) and went thru a huge puddle, as I was driving, it all went fine, but when i stopped to pick her up and fit new wiper blades and got in again, started up, (heater was already set to three, dipped beam was on and my wiper stalk was selected for the fastest setting)
Only my dipped beam came on, the heater fan didn't blow and my wipers didn't come on.
Main beam comes on when you hold the stalk for it, and my wipers only come on when the low beam switch is on (again, no low beam showing), and main beam is on???
Please could someone help?

Sounds like your cross over relay is loose, try switching the ignition & wipers on then wiggling your relays till they start going. It'll be a small grey jobber, can't remember the number off the top of me head!
-
Cool, I'll give that a go...
-
Well, all the relays are plugged in...Could it be this relay has given up the ghost?
-
Possible, but it may also be your ignition switch has packed in, does it help if you wiggle the key about? I find that my x-over relay doesn't work if it is pressed all the way in, needs a bit of a wiggle!
Lots of wiggling going on in this thread

check the fuses. i had a similar problem last week and now my uprated headlamp loom is f**ked. tried everything but still no luck.
try that black relay number 19 i think or number 53
ohh and what are you doing picking your mates girlfriend up in the first place?

shhhh....he's sitting next to me...

OK, I started the car this morning, and the starter turns real slow, then starts but idles a bit erratically.
DAMN YOU car!!
All fuses are ok, none of the relays are scorched or anything like that, this thing is really pi$$ing me off!
