Title: Best lowering springs?
Post by: ajh on 21 May 2003, 13:50
Hi All,

In your opinion what are the best lowering springs to use if I want to lower my Mk2 8v 1989 GTi by 40mm ?

Thanks,
ajh

In my opinion the best springs to get are Eibachs. Not sure about how low you can go with them.

The spax will do the job and i have a brand new set for you car as i have a GOLF GTI 8v 1989.

I bought them cos i was going to put some 16"s on, however i ended up buying some nice 17's, i dont think the car will go down on the 40's.

You can buy them if you want still boxed brand new.

I've fitted Eibach springs to my car and the ride is excellent, saving up for the Koni top adjustable dampers that I am drooling for.
