Title: clutch problems?

just moved the dub to give it a rinse and the clutch biting point is really high  :undecided:

is this a common fault on the golfs. its a 1990 1.6 driver.

any help is as always appreciated

If its got an auto adjusting cable then change it for a manual one.

OK this might sound really idiotic. but how do i know if its auto adjusting or manual?

Check the cable where it attaches to the gearbox, if its big & chunky then its auto, if its threaded with a lock nut then its manual :)

Either way I'd recommend you get a new one and replace it :)
