Here is the plan, small depth MDF with flat Carbon Fibre in 2x2 Twill bonded on the top, sides trimmed in black and underneath trimmed in black carpet. Nice and simple.
Wonder how long it will take before its stolen? lol
If any one is intrested in this, drop us a PM and will either supply the CF sheet or the hole lot.
Oh, and i'm not bothering making it take the hangers, but will post pics when its done so you can see what it looks like.

are you gonna mould the carbon fibre or use flat sheet

just flat sheet, why go to the hassle of making a perfect mould of a rear shelf just for me?
just being lazy, lol

Surely you could sell them through various site's etc?

sounds allot better than the shelf that came with my golf. it has nails stabbed thorough it

I will make one, saying what I have used and the price etc, if more than 10 people said they wanted a Mk2 parcel shelf then I would take a mould and do em that way, since i am just doing this because mine is shagged i am just doing the MDF and flat sheet for it.
But as said, if 10 people wanted it then i would do it the exact copy of the Parcel Shelf and do em just for this forum, but I dont think 10 people would want em. However, if you cut the mdf up yourself then i will supply the flat sheet.
