Title: how easy is it to fit Air con into a mk3 gti??

Hi, just looking for some info on how easy it is to fit air conditioning into a mk3 golf gti 16v? what work is required and how much does it cost, start to finish??? Thanks guys.

I don't know the answer but I'm fairly sure you'd be better off selling your current car and buying a new one with factory fit a/c.

I can't imagine it is a cheap thing to fit afterwards...

If you could find all the bits at a scrappy and fitted it yourself you would still need to get the system filled by a specialist which would cost £80 - 100.

Its a vast amout of work - front of car off, radiator. Then the dash to fit the cooler/heater

Just not worth the hassle mate.

Go buy a good 16v with one fitted.
