Post by: Scooterist007 on 27 December 2005, 17:46
Hi, I have a 1995 16v gti, now it runs ok, but, the revs dont drop down very quickly, like when you are changing gear, the revs are still up quite high. appart from that, the car drives ok, it idles fine when warm and cold!

anyone any ideas??

thanks in advance

Start by checking all hozes for splits, including the oil breather hoze. Then clen out the ISV and the throttle body..

Put it this way had mine RR tested about a year ago and only got abot 145 bhp. Found out I had some leaky hoses etc. Fixed them and put it on back at the November Club Day and now its 153.6bhp!!!!

One of my problems was with one of the oil breather hoses, but yours could be any/all etc. So check em all mate.
