Title: BMW E30 Alloys On A Lowered Mk2 - Would there be problems????
Post by: illumin on 23 December 2005, 15:24
Just wondering if BMW E30 wheels would fit ok on my Mk2. I understand that they could stick out a bit due to the offset difference between them and VW wheels. Would this be a problem on my car as it has been lowered (60mm drop I think)?

Bored of the P-Slots (they need refurbing as well) so just trying to think of something different to put on that's not too expensive

I believe the E30 wheels start from 14" - is that right? Would I have use lower profile tyres? :undecided:

Should be fine mate.

3 series (E30)   4 x 100   ET=15...25   CB=57.0

Golf   4 x 100   ET=32...38   CB=57.0

They will push out further and might need the lip rolling on both back and front but other than that should be ok.

the alloys that are on my car on my sig pic (now changed to bbs) were 15 offset (same as bmw i think), they had 195/55/15 tyres and bolted straight on but did rub both front and back if i hit a bump! think it may have been ok with lower profile tyres though!
